About the Grant
D-Prize seeds new organizations that distribute proven poverty interventions. Rather than funding research or general ideas, the competition supports entrepreneurs who are ready to launch a distribution venture.
Awardees spend the next few months piloting their idea and building an organization. As a result, the program is best suited to applicants who want to move from concept to action.
Eligibility
- Applicants must propose a new organization.
- Most awardees are first-time entrepreneurs who have not yet launched or raised outside funding.
- Applicants from low- and middle-income countries are especially encouraged.
- Organizations with more than 18 months of full-time operations or more than $30,000 USD raised are typically not supported.
- Existing organizations are considered only if their core focus is distributing an existing, evidence-based poverty intervention.
