The 8th BRICS Young Innovator Prize is a prestigious international competition hosted as part of the 10th BRICS Young Scientist Forum, taking place from September 15–17, 2025 in Brasilia, Brazil. The contest aims to recognize and reward young innovators from BRICS countries whose pre-market innovations in Artificial Intelligence offer tangible solutions for improving public services and citizen well-being.

👩‍💼 Who can Apply?

  • Must be under 40 years old by December 31, 2025
  • Must be the initial author of the submitted project
  • Must be a citizen or permanent resident of a BRICS country
  • Only one project may be submitted per candidate
  • Corporate innovations are not eligible

📊 How are Applicants Selected?

  • Projects must be innovative and in pre-market stages
  • Applications are reviewed based on originality, impact, feasibility, and alignment with the theme
  • Selected finalists will present their projects to a jury panel at the Forum

🌍 Which Countries Are Eligible?

BRICS countries only:

  • Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa

🎯 How Many Awards?

Three awards will be given:

  1. First Prize: $25,000
  2. Second Prize: $15,000
  3. Third Prize: $10,000
