The Global Voices for Peace Small Seed Grants, launched by the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC), aim to catalyze innovative, locally driven initiatives that safeguard democracy while advancing peace, justice, and nonviolence. Rooted in Quaker values, the program invests in community-led ideas that promote dialogue, strengthen solidarity networks, and respond creatively to challenges facing peace and democracy.

Who can Apply?
Local and community-based organizations aligned with Quaker values. Collaboration with Global North partners is allowed, but funding is restricted to Global South partners.
How are Applicants Selected?
Applications are reviewed by an AFSC committee representing international regions (Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, and Asia). Selection is based on:
- Alignment with AFSC mission and Quaker values
- Potential impact on democratic governance, peacebuilding, and human rights
- Urgency of the need addressed
- Leadership by communities directly affected by injustice or conflict

Global South partners only, with optional collaboration from Global North organizations.
