The programme typically runs across 8 weeks, mixing weekly online sessions with a one-week onsite summit in Stockholm during the fall.

The Impact Pioneers Leadership Programme 2026 is a fully funded international leadership initiative by the Swedish Institute. It is designed for ecosystem builders, startup hub managers, innovation leaders, and sustainability-focused professionals who want to strengthen entrepreneurship and innovation in their countries while connecting with Sweden’s world-class innovation ecosystem.
The programme runs for 8 weeks, combining weekly online sessions with a one-week onsite summit in Stockholm during September/October 2026.

Who can Apply?
Applicants must:
- Be a citizen and resident of one of the eligible programme countries.
- Work in an organisation that supports entrepreneurship, innovation, or sustainability.
- Hold roles such as startup hub manager, incubator/accelerator leader, tech hub founder, university innovation manager, or public sector professional.
- Have authority to develop new international partnerships.
- Demonstrate strong English proficiency.
- Be ready to actively participate and collaborate with peers.
- Identify challenges/opportunities in their ecosystem to address during the programme.
How are Applicants Selected?
- Screening by the Swedish Institute and external reference board.
- Evaluation based on:
- Candidate qualifications and ambition.
- Organisation’s role and alignment with programme objectives.
- Cohort composition (balanced distribution across countries, gender, and profiles).
- Approximately 50–80 participants per cohort will be admitted.
Which Countries Are Eligible?
Europe Cohort: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Estonia, Georgia (except government employees), Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Sweden, Ukraine (including Ukrainians residing abroad).
MENA Cohort: Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Tunisia, Palestine.

How Long Will the Award Last?
